nodexx perpetual contracts support a dual position mode, allowing users to hold both long and short positions simultaneously under a single contract.
Dual Position Mode
In JuCoin contract trading, users can hold both long and short positions simultaneously for a single contract, with independent leverage for each direction. Within each contract, all long positions are combined, and all short positions are combined. When holding dual positions, margin is required for both directions according to the risk limit leverage tiers.
For example, in the BTC/USDT perpetual contract, a user can open a 25x leverage long position while also opening a 50x leverage short position.
Under the dual position mode, it is possible to hold both long and short positions simultaneously within the same contract. Therefore, opening and closing positions operate slightly differently compared to single position mode. To open a position, you must select “Open Position” before placing an order. Conversely, to close a position, you should select “Close Position.”
Advantages of Dual Position Mode
Flexibility: Traders can hold both long and short positions simultaneously under the same futures asset according to market conditions and personal judgment, allowing flexible responses to market rises and falls.
Diversified Trading Strategies: Dual position mode enables traders to use various trading strategies, such as arbitrage, hedging, and volatility trading, to adapt to different market environments and trading opportunities.
Risk Control: By holding both long and short positions under the same futures asset, traders can reduce the risks associated with one-sided positions. When the market is uncertain or highly volatile, risk can be managed through hedging or reducing positions.
Note: Dual position mode requires traders to have strong risk management skills and market judgment. Traders should allocate funds and positions reasonably based on their trading plan and risk tolerance, and set appropriate stop-loss and take-profit points to control risk and protect profits.
