Order cost refers to the total amount of funds required to place an order. Investors can check the order cost at any time through the order placement or confirmation window. The order cost is affected by the initial margin, opening fee, and closing fee. Different formulas are used for calculation depending on the investor’s position direction, whether long or short.
Long Position
Order Cost Calculation Formula: Order Cost = Initial Margin + Buy Fee + Sell Fee
Short Position
Order Cost Calculation Formula: Order Cost = Initial Margin + Buy Fee + Sell Fee
Initial Margin = Opening Average Price x Opening Quantity x Contract Value / Leverage
Buy Fee = Order Quantity * Order Price * Fee Rate
Sell Fee = Order Quantity * Bankruptcy Price * Fee Rate
